Aurora Rowan Story: Everyday Life in Full Colour

Documentary Photography at Aurora Rowan School in Reading

Photographing life at Aurora Rowan School for children with autism spectrum conditions and moderate to severe learning difficulties was a real joy. From the bright, colourful classrooms to quieter moments of focus and laughter, I wanted to capture what makes this school feel so genuine such as the trust between staff and pupils, the small wins, and the sense of calm care that runs through everything. You can feel how much the team here put into helping pupils grow into confident communicators and resilient learners. The photos are now used across Aurora Rowan’s website, marketing and social media, giving families an honest glimpse into the warmth and everyday connection that make this place so special.
