Aurora Orchard Manor Residential Home
Documentary photography capturing real moments at Aurora Orchard Manor
At Aurora Orchard Manor Residential Home in Cambridgeshire, a specialist environment supporting children and young people with physical disabilities and complex learning needs, the atmosphere here is calm, respectful, and full of warmth. The staff are truly fantastic, creating a space where everyone feels valued. I wanted to capture those quiet, genuine moments of connection between residents and staff, as well as the personal touches that families bring to make each room feel like home. These images are now used across Aurora’s website, social media, and marketing, sharing the care and compassion that define life at Aurora Orchard Manor.
Aurora Orchard Manor is located close to Aurora Meldreth Manor, where I also created documentary-style photography capturing everyday life in this specialist school and care setting. Both places share the same calm, caring ethos and deep sense of respect between staff and young people. You can read more about my time at Aurora Meldreth Manor here, where I documented the same commitment to connection, care, and genuine human moments.

My focus was on capturing the genuine connections between students, teaching assistants, and teachers — moments full of care, trust, and warmth. Through natural, documentary-style school photography, I aimed to reflect the inclusive environment that makes Meldreth Manor so special.
Adiele is a bright, talented 13-year-old with a passion for performing. She’s a student at Chickenshed, an inclusive theatre company and registered charity, and she’s already making waves in the industry. Having appeared in an advert, she needed a headshot for her acting profile, one that really captured her natural essence and vibrant personality.
