What to expect from your photography:  A relaxed and enjoyable experience.

When photographing a wedding I usually work alongside a second photographer - Dana who I am lucky enough to also count as a close friend. Our photography style is creative and natural. The most important thing to us is that you and your guests have the most amazing time, with as little intrusion from us.

We like to make sure that you enjoy the photography on the day as much as we enjoy taking it. Taking candid photographs of you and your guests, the little details such as flowers, table settings, the rings and the concentration needed when putting on a button hole!

Our photographs capture the whole wedding, documenting all the love, laughter and atmosphere. Most importantly we are friendly, approachable and need to be energetic! We treat every wedding with absolute attention to detail and I put as much into the post-production afterwards as I do into the wedding day itself, so that I can present you both with a beautiful set of images and if you like, a stunning album.

"How many photographers are there on the day?"

Usually two. Dana & I work so well together making sure you get the best out of having two photographers, whilst I am photographing the bride getting ready, she is busy capturing great photos of the boys and the guests arriving at the venue. We make it very easy for you to enjoy and once we have had a short time with you both alone we want to capture the candid moments, some gently directed family groups, the many little details and simply record you and your wedding party having a lovely, lovely day.

If your having a smaller intimate wedding then I am always happy to offer a bespoke package with just me photographing your wedding.

Will you meet up at the venue before the wedding?

Yes definitely. I always want to get to know you before the day as I know it's important for you to meet me too. I love to hear about all the little details you have planned and any suprises you may have in store for the guests ... or each other! So we always meet up at the venue at some point before your wedding, which could be when you have a food tasting or a meeting arranged. It's always good to say hello again and you can tell me all the final details. When we walk around the venue I will point out places that would work best for photographs of the two of you alone depending on the time of year and weather.

"What happens if it rains?"

Well no matter what the weather app says, us Brits know that any time of the year there is always a chance of rain! Yet this has never stopped us getting some great shots. At the venue meeting I will always discuss a Plan B on the off chance there is a 'spot of rain'. If it has rained the night before then a pair of wedding wellies and umbrella can always make sure we get where we need to go :)

"I have a phobia about having my photograph taken"

It's true I was told this! In fact at most meetings I hear "We never looked relaxed in photographs" or "He always pulls a weird expression when he smiles at the camera". To be honest I much prefer being behind the camera than in front so I totally understand these fears but maybe the combination of  my relaxed approach and that you feel fantastic on your wedding day ensures you both actually enjoy having your photographs taken and look good too.

Some couples prefer to have engagement photographs as it's a chance to get to know me better and realise that having your photograph taken is not at all like "going to the dentist". Engagement shoots are fun and relaxed, we can meet up in a location of your choice and spend an hour or two together taking some natural and easy photographs, bring your dog along too if you like!
